OUR MISSION
The mission of the Patriots Education Project is to educate and inform Michigan citizens about public policy issues that may impact their communities and encourage meaningful participation in civic and governmental affairs.
We believe people should have access to information that helps them better understand the policies and decisions shaping their communities. By monitoring issues throughout Michigan and sharing relevant information with the citizens and communities affected by them, we work to promote greater awareness, civic engagement, and effective government.
WHY OUR WORK MATTERS
Decisions made at the local and state levels can have a lasting impact on families, schools, businesses, and entire communities.
Understanding those decisions—and their potential consequences—is an important part of meaningful civic participation.
The Patriots Education Project works to help citizens become more aware of issues affecting their communities and better informed about the policies and decisions that shape them. We believe informed citizens are better equipped to ask questions, participate in public discussions, communicate with elected officials, and make their voices heard.

Policy Education

Community Awareness
Issues affecting one Michigan community may be very different from those affecting another.
The Patriots Education Project monitors issues throughout the state and works to provide relevant information to the citizens and communities impacted by them.
Civic Engagement
Effective government depends on citizens who are willing to become informed and involved.
We encourage Michigan citizens to learn about the issues, ask questions, participate in public discussions, communicate with their elected officials, and make their voices heard on decisions affecting their communities.
